Ryan Reynolds has had his best year in Hollywood in 2016. He is not shy to admit this fact. Personally, Ryan Reynolds and his wife Blake Lively were blessed with their second daughter in September. Reynolds says that having two kids who are below the age of two has given him a lot of responsibilities to take care of.
Deadpool is the movie where he played an adaption of the Marvel comic character Wade Wilson. The director of the movie Simon Kinberg is all praise for the actor and the authenticity he brought into the character. The movie went on to make $132 million when it got released in February making it the highest grossing X-men movie of all time. If those numbers are huge, the movie made a total of $783 million across the globe.
When asked if he expected such a response from the audiences to the movie, Reynolds admits that he certainly did not anticipate that. He said that he was sure that it would create an impact with the people who love Deadpool. He calls that the movie released at the right time when there was peak superhero scenario. Since it is also different from most of the superhero movies has also made a huge difference.
It is mainly due to Deadpool and more of his Reynold-ness that he has been chosen as Entertainment Weekly’s Entertainer of The year. He has also been nominated for the Critics’ choice awards this year. The movie Deadpool has been nominated in two categories namely Best Actor in an action movie and Best actor in a comedy.
